Anyone have any old Hitachi Cameras?

I really, really, need some extender cards for Hitachi SK-2600 studio cameras and CU-2000 CCUs.

If you have any of these lying around I will pay you a fair price for them.

My first time lapse

After resigning myself to figuring only the cool mac kids could do this, I stumbled upon window’s webcam timershot. Here’s my first time lapse of this morning’s breakfast.

(there isn’t any audio. if you were wondering)

This is pretty fun.

I really dislike camcorders

Last night was Liana’s pre-school “graduation”. It was fun (as these things are) watching 15 4-year olds recite and sing stuff they had learned last year. My neighbor Christy was there with her camcorder capturing it for ex-husband who was stuck at the Penguins game (poor guy). She looked like she wasn’t so sure how to work it so Amy volunteered me to film the event for her.

I was happy to do that for her, but I don’t really like the whole camcorder thing. On a technical level, it is really hard to hold one of those guys steady. I wasn’t too far away, but I could not for the life of me keep the darn thing steady. I tried really hard. it made my hand cramp.

The real deal is for me is that when I spend the time doing something at something like using a camcorder I don’t feel like I am fully experiencing what is going on. Maybe that is a holdover from work, where I am always at least a little outside of the moment thinking about something instead about fully being in the event. I am finding, especially with my kids, I want to just be there, take it in and not bother with doing something.

I’ll still take couple of pictures. I’ll maybe even take a little video with our ittle canon point-and-shoot. I feel like I can do that and still be in the moment. I know, I’m going to regret not having all these moments in moving pictures. I guess I’ll have to try to get over it.

What I am doing right now…

Last night friends of ours gave us this great toy that makes bugs.
A great start to Super Tuesday (monthly Tuesday off)

DRIVE Monday evening

Had some great BBQ at the strategic partner tent.

Awesome first session. I was thoroughly challenged by the message and the worship after was goosebump good. I am still trying to come to grips with what all that I was presented with tonight.

Hung out at Bahama Breeze with Carlos some Bloggers. It was pretty crazy so see a few people go, “Hey! i know you…”

Thrilled to be here. Thanks Jayson & Jame for bringing us on your dime.
